The youth department and its leaders are to provide a ministry in the service of the Lord in order to promote spiritual stability amongst our young people.  The Young People Willing Workers (YPWW), also known as the Youth Department, is a training unit formed at the time of the organization of the Church of God in Christ.  The YPWW is responsible for training our youth in Bible application in class sessions every Sunday evening and consists of a broad development and training ground in various ministerial and administrative capacities throughout the church.  Our local YPWW has membership in our church’s state and national association and we have opportunity to participate and gain recognition in both the state and national annual convocations (conventions).  In short, our mission is to provide development in Christian instruction, music, special projects, opportunities and dedicated and integrated participation in the ministries of Faith Temple.  Our motto is “Young people pressing towards the mark in Jesus Christ”
